WELCOME TO MEIFOD
Meifod Country House is a luxurious family run hotel with traditional charm and elegance of a bygone age coupled with a modern outlook on service and standards.
Meifod Country House was built during the Edwardian Period by the well-known Brymer family. Trefor Brymer was the High Sheriff of Caernarfon just like his father before him. Mr Brymer was the agent for Lloyd George, Prime Minister who stayed at Meifod on numerous occasions.
Meifod is situated on the outskirts of the Royal Town of Caernarfon, which dates back to Roman times and where Prince Charles was inaugurated as Prince of Wales in 1969. A short distance away is the beautiful landscape of Snowdonia National Park and the beautiful North Wales coast line. |
